Sharon’s poems have appeared in various journals including RUMINATE, Rattle, The Lyric, The Evansville Review, String Poet, First Things, Modern Age, Christian Research Journal and The Lost Country. She won the inaugural Frost Farm Prize for metrical poetry and was a semi-finalist for the Richard Wilbur Award and Blue Lynx Prize for poetry. She has presented poetry readings and lectures on poetry and art at various conferences in the United States, Canada and the Netherlands. She is poetry editor of the Journal of Christian Nursing and has a PhD from the University of Rochester.
Sharon is the also the author or co-author of books on Alzheimer’s, spiritual care, and meditation, She teaches nursing research online for Regis University, Denver, CO and Indiana Wesleyan University and has taught courses on Parish Nursing and spirituality at McMaster Divinity College, Ontario, Canada. She lives in Ohio with her husband Scott, also a poet
